Ismael Ordóñez Miguéns

I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Santiago de Compostela, affiliated with the research group Episteme. My current project is about mathematical objectivity. In the absence of a precise definition of "objectivity," a really complex and deep word, I take Wright's criteria for objectivity and assess how specific mathematical theories -mainly arithmetic, analysis, and set theory- face them. In particular, I am interested in the question of semantic realism from a minimalist point of view and on how classical and predicative versions of the abovementioned theories compare on this topic. My research is financed by The Spanish Ministry of Universities with a FPU contract.
